Eureka Forbes cheating custsomers? 30 Years of Loyalty, and This Is the Service I Get from Eureka Forbes?

About

Despite being a loyal Eureka Forbes customer for over 30 years, I'm facing repeated service failures with my Dr. Aquaguard Geneus+ under a valid Gold AMC. Here's how poor after-sales service, false promises, and unresolved complaints forced me to speak out.

Issue started: April 2025 | Last updated: August 12, 2025

For over three decades, I've been a loyal customer of Eureka Forbes — a brand that once stood for trust, quality, and exceptional after-sales service. I've used and recommended their products, especially their Aquaguard water purifiers, to friends and family with complete confidence.

But today, I find myself writing this post out of sheer disappointment and frustration — because the Eureka Forbes of 2025 is no longer the brand I once trusted.

My Device: Dr. AQUAGUARD GENEUS+ (RO+UV+UF)

The product I own is Dr. AQUAGUARD GENEUS+ (RO+UV+UF) — initially covered under a Genuine AMC – Gold, valid until 5th September 2025.

This AMC promised peace of mind, free repairs, and priority service. But my experience has been a nightmare of repeated failures, false promises, and exploitation.

The Initial Service Nightmare (April-May 2025)

Between 24th April and 13th May 2025, I raised multiple service complaints. Here's the documented proof from their own system:

Service Request History (All Marked "Closed" Despite Unresolved Issues):

  • CM-240425-49555109 - April 24, 2025, 08:00-09:00 PM - Closed
  • CM-300425-49908366 - April 30, 2025, 11:00 AM-12:00 PM - Closed
  • CM-050525-50271301 - May 6, 2025, 10:00-11:00 AM - Closed
  • CM-120525-50710837 - May 13, 2025, 10:00-11:00 AM - Closed
  • CM-220525-51432224 - May 26, 2025, 10:00-11:00 AM - Closed

Every single time, a technician came, claimed the issue was fixed, and then:

  • Closed the complaint using an OTP, giving us wrong assurances that everything was resolved
  • Within 24 to 48 hours, the same problem returned — be it leakage, foul-smelling water, or "No Water" errors
  • At one point, a technician mentioned the motherboard had failed, possibly due to poor handling during a previous repair
  • During multiple visits, we were repeatedly pressured to buy a new purifier, even though our existing one was still under an active AMC

This isn't service — it's systematic mismanagement disguised as customer support.

The Sixth Complaint That Never Got Resolved

The complaint that broke the camel's back was Service Request No. CM-220525-51432224, booked on 22nd May 2025 for a "No Water" issue.

Days passed with the ticket showing "Open" — no technician assigned, no one coming, no service initiated. Meanwhile, I was left with no usable drinking water, despite holding a premium AMC plan.

The AMC Renewal Scam (July 1, 2025)

Here's where Eureka Forbes crossed the line from poor service to outright deception.

Documented proof: Service Request CM-100625-52943068 on July 1, 2025, 04:00-05:00 PM shows the AMC renewal visit.

During this visit, under pressure and false promises, I was convinced to renew my AMC. The sales representative told me:

  • "Since water filter cartridges can be changed once a year, renewing now will get you fresh filter bottles"
  • "Your AMC will continue seamlessly till 2026"
  • "This will solve all your current issues"

I paid for another AMC extension based on these assurances.

The TDS Shock: 725 After "Fresh" Filters

After the so-called filter replacement, I tested the water quality. The TDS level was 725 — completely unsafe for drinking and higher than many tap water sources. This was after they claimed to have installed "fresh filter bottles."

For context, safe drinking water should have TDS levels below 300-500. At 725, this water was potentially harmful to consume.

July 9th: A Service person by the name of Salman Took Parts and Vanished

Service Request CM-090725-54981749 on July 9, 2025, 12:00-01:00 PM shows their system logged this visit as "Closed."

On this date, after yet another complaint about the high TDS and water quality issues, a technician visited. Instead of fixing the problem, he removed a part of the filter system and promised to return with a replacement.

The system shows this as "Closed" - but they took my equipment parts and never returned.

August 12th, 2025: Still Waiting, Still No Water

It's now August 12th, 2025. More than a month has passed since they took the filter part. I've made multiple calls, raised complaints, and waited for updates.

Current Status: One complaint remains open - Service Request CM-270725-56346967 scheduled for July 28, 2025, 09:00-10:00 AM, still showing "Open" status with no resolution.

Nothing. Complete radio silence despite an "Open" ticket in their system.

I'm sitting here with:

  • A dismantled water purifier
  • An extended AMC that I paid for but receive no service under
  • No drinking water solution for over a month
  • TDS levels that were dangerously high even when the system was "working"

Technician Behavior: Sales First, Service Never

Most interactions were with technician Om Prakash (95079 90821). While personally polite, his priorities were clear:

  1. Push for new machine sales
  2. Close tickets quickly using OTPs
  3. Make temporary fixes that would fail within 48 hours
  4. Never provide permanent solutions

This reflects systematic training that prioritizes sales over service delivery.

Documentary Evidence of System Abuse

The screenshots from Eureka Forbes' own service tracking system reveal the systematic nature of their failures:

Pattern of False Closures:

  • 9 service requests between April and July 2025
  • 8 marked as "Closed" despite unresolved issues
  • 1 still "Open" since July 28, 2025 with no action taken
  • Clear evidence that they close tickets to manipulate their service statistics
  • Equipment removed on July 9th (CM-090725-54981749) but marked "Closed" instead of "Parts Pending"

This isn't incompetence - it's deliberate system manipulation to hide service failures.

The AMC Deception: Gold in Name, Fraud in Practice

An AMC should protect customers and ensure reliable service. Instead, Eureka Forbes used it as:

  • A tool to extract more money through renewal pressure
  • A way to make false promises about filter replacements
  • Cover for poor service while collecting premium fees
  • An excuse to delay and avoid actual problem resolution

Key failures:

  • Complaints routinely closed without resolution
  • False status updates claiming "customer not available"
  • Multiple promises of "someone will visit today" that never materialized
  • Taking equipment parts and disappearing for months
  • Charging for AMC renewal while providing zero functional service

To Eureka Forbes: You've Lost a 30-Year Customer

I remained loyal to this brand for over three decades, through multiple product purchases and consistent AMC renewals. I recommended your products to family and friends based on past trust.

Today, you've not just failed me as a customer — you've actively deceived me, taken my money under false pretenses, and left me without basic drinking water for months.

This is not service failure. This is systematic fraud.

What I Demand Now:

  1. Immediate dispatch of a senior, certified technician to permanently resolve all issues
  2. Complete replacement of all filter components with genuine, working parts
  3. Full refund of the July 1st AMC renewal that was obtained through false promises
  4. Free AMC extension for the months of non-service and equipment being held hostage
  5. Direct intervention from regional/corporate management
  6. Written guarantee that no more tickets will be closed until verified resolution
  7. Compensation for the months without drinking water and the health risk from 725 TDS water

To Fellow Consumers: Learn from My Experience

If you're considering Eureka Forbes products:

RED FLAGS TO WATCH:

  • Pressure to renew AMC during service visits
  • Technicians suggesting new purchases instead of fixing existing issues
  • Quick OTP closures without actual problem resolution
  • High TDS levels even after "filter replacement"
  • Taking equipment parts and disappearing

PROTECTION STRATEGIES:

  • Never approve complaint closure via OTP until you've verified the fix works for at least a week
  • Test water quality yourself after any service
  • Document every interaction, complaint number, and technician visit
  • Refuse AMC renewals during active service issues
  • Demand written guarantees for any work performed

The Bottom Line

After 30 years of loyalty, I'm left without drinking water, scammed out of AMC renewal money, and completely abandoned by Eureka Forbes customer service.

This company has fallen so far from its original values that it's now actively harming the customers who built its reputation.

If you're reading this, Eureka Forbes management, know that you haven't just lost a customer — you've created an active advocate against your predatory service practices.

Will anyone from Eureka Forbes take responsibility? Or will you continue hiding behind call center scripts while customers suffer?

The ball is in your court. But my trust? That's gone forever.
